Biography

Alejandro Espaillat, MD, is a distinguished ophthalmologist and eye surgeon with advanced training from prestigious institutions, including Harvard University and Brown University School of Medicine-affiliated hospitals. He is an expert in advanced laser cataract surgery, the management of diabetic eye disease and the integration of artificial intelligence in ophthalmology to enhance diagnostic precision and patient care.

Board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Espaillat is an active member of several leading medical societies. He has made meaningful contributions to the field through his involvement in clinical research and co-authorship of numerous peer-reviewed publications and medical texts.

Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Espaillat enjoys playing tennis, boating, reading and traveling with his family.
